If you re a regular on Digg, StumbleUpon or Reddit, then there’s a chance you have watched at least one TED talk. Standing for Technology, Education and Design, TED has opened millions of minds to a different outlook on a number of subjects. The who’s who of the world: Bill Clinton, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Al Gore, Bill Gates have all spoken at TED or TEDx.

Now, with the TEDx independent conference, TED has been able to spread their brand across hundreds of countries and thousands of cities. Over 1200 cities around the globe have hosted and produced over 16,500 TEDx talks.
