My first .com domain came out of NameCheap (highly recommended). Finding a domain back then meant hit-and-trial for me. I used to brainstorm some names, check for availability and cross off anything that was taken.
Fast forward 4 years.
No more hunt and peck for me now! This time, all I had to do is put in a “seed” keyword, and I’d be given a list of brilliant domain names available for registering. All it takes is a few minutes.
Below is a list of my favorite domain name generating.
Lean Domain Search
Lean Domain Search is a free, simple, user-friendly way to find great available domain names. They do this by pairing your search phrase with other keywords and instantly showing you which are available to register.
BustAName
BustAName is a tool to help you find domains and manage them. They have combined linguistic data with a unique interface to let you quickly search through thousands of domains and see which are available.
Wordoid
Wordoid is a made-up word generator. The tool generates fun words like chardly, locause, emple etc. Wordoid is an excellent choice if you want a brandable name for your website or company.
Impossibility
Possible the best domain name generation tool ever! You give the tool a keyword and it combines it with a carefully selected list of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Then it searches the results for unregistered .com domain names.
PS: MashGeek.com was suggested by Impossibility.org itself.
DomainsBot
DomainsBot searches for available domain suggestions, expired, expiring and for sale domain name search. It also provides whois lookup. Other than this, the tool also provides suggestions for search term. A search for “mashgeek” returns suggestions like “creamgeek” and “poundgeek”.
