Google+ now boasts of over 200 million users may pale considerably in comparison to Facebook’s 900 million but, as is illustrated by this infographic design by Infographic Labs, there are plenty of reasons to check out what could be the next big thing in social networking.
Mhmmm. These sort of things are almost always seen in hindsight, no one thought Facebook would become much of anything, but look at it now. The main difference between the two would be resources, and I’d say Google+ definitely has the resources to to pursue and challenge Facebook in way of the next big thing. I mean, it doesn’t seem that long ago that Myspace was all the rage, not its Facebook … Tech has to be weary to stay at the top of its game, though I think Facebook may hang in stronger than Myspace did … but its hard to say. Anyway, good points, =]
Not to knock this or anything but here is list of reasons why I don’t get on this.
1. I get bored of the social networks to fast.
2. I don’t have enough friends for it to be a circle for me.
3. I can’t afford an android phone right now.
4. I can use teamviewer or something like that to get the data that I need.
5. Posting photos isn’t something that I do very often and then it is just of me.
6. Isn’t texting almost like a chat room?
7. Who needs a profile when you don’t do social networks?
I could go on, but I am sure you see my point and I really don’t want to seem like I am trying to bash this when so many other people are using it every day. I just don’t have a use for anything like this.
Even after reading all of these, I still don’t like Google+. I signed up to see what all the hype was about, but it just looks so messy to me, I could never find what I wanted, everything seemed like it was made purely to confuse me and was overcomplicated. I’ll stick with Twitter.
I rather think the opposite. I kinda like the layout, and interface. Navigation is easy. It’s just that most of my friends are still not on G+, or even if they are, they aren’t active. So doesn’t make sense for me to spends time there.
